These terms cover your use of dueset, including the Windows app, the web app at dueset.app/app, and this website. By using dueset or buying a license, you agree to them. They're written in plain language, but they're still a legal agreement, so please read them.

Free and full versions

The free version of dueset includes every feature and tracks up to 5 active bills. The full version removes that limit. It's a one-time purchase with no subscription and no recurring charge.

Buying a license

Purchases are handled by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as the seller of record. When you buy, you also agree to Polar's buyer terms. Polar processes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and emails your license key and a download link for the Windows app.

Prices are shown on this website and at checkout. We may change the price for future purchases, but that never affects a license you've already bought.

Your license

A license gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the full version of dueset. Specifically:

• You can activate one license key on up to 3 devices at a time, in any mix of Windows app installs and web browsers. Each install and each browser counts as one device.
• To free up a device, remove the license in Settings on that device, or email us and we'll do it for you.
• Activating a key, and an occasional check while you're online (about every two weeks), connects to our license server. That check sends your license key and a device identifier, never your bill information. If the check can't connect, dueset keeps working.
• Please don't share, publish, resell or transfer your key, and don't try to get around the license check or the free version's limit.

We may turn off a key that's been refunded, charged back, published or shared, or used in a way that breaks these terms. If that happens, dueset switches back to the free version. Your bills are never deleted.

Updates

Updates we release for dueset are free for license holders, unless we clearly say otherwise when they're released. We can't promise any particular feature, or that updates will continue indefinitely.

Keeping your data safe

dueset stores your bill information only on your own device, or in files you choose to save. We don't hold a copy and can't recover it if it's lost, for example if a computer fails or you clear your browser's data. Please save to a file or make backups regularly. Our privacy policy explains what information we do and don't collect.

dueset is a tracking tool

dueset helps you keep track of bills that you enter yourself. It doesn't connect to your bank, pay bills for you, or give financial advice. Due dates, amounts and statuses are only as accurate as what you enter. You're responsible for paying your bills on time, and we aren't responsible for late fees, missed payments, overdrafts or other costs.

The web app and this website

We work to keep the web app and this website available, but we can't guarantee they'll always be online or free of errors. The Windows app doesn't depend on our servers, apart from activating and checking your license. If we ever stop offering the web app, we'll post notice on this website in advance where we reasonably can.

Ownership

dueset, including its code, design, name and logo, belongs to us. Your license lets you use the app. It doesn't give you ownership of it, or the right to copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute it, except where the law allows that regardless of these terms. The bill information you enter belongs to you.

Refunds

Our refund policy explains how to get your money back if dueset isn't right for you.

No warranty

dueset is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that dueset will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet every need you have.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost money or late fees, arising from your use of dueset. Our total liability for any claim related to dueset is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Your rights under local law

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Changes apply from that date forward and don't affect a purchase you've already made.
